BYC CHEERLEADERS WIN AT MARDI GRAS SPIRIT NATIONALS

For the second year in a row, the Brandywine Youth Club Senior Competition Squad took first place at the Mardi Gras Spirit National Competition in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The team brought home the National Championship Trophy by turning out a great performance with a clean, well-executed and spirited routine.

The members of the 2009-10 BYC Senior Competition Squad are: Amber Alberici, Katie Burba, Gia Campese, Laura Cochrane, Lindsay Dickerson, Hope DiMario, Caroline Dorf, Caitlyn Duffy, Deanna Elison, Alexa Facciola, Amanda Fichter, Brittany Fichter, Emilie Izykowski, Brynne Kuberski, Brooke Kuberski, Carolyn LaRue, Bryn Lynch, Sarah Masayko, Madison McKenna, Mackenzie McKenna, Sienna Medina, Lane Molineux, Brielle Miller, Kyra Miller, Katie Morrone, Ashley Reynolds, Taylor Romaniella, Gianna Saddic, Maddie Sivel, Leanne Taffe, Nicole Wagner, Vanessa Weir and Cassie Weir. Coaches are: Ingrid Welch and Maureen McKenna.

BYC's Competition Cheerleading Program offers competitive cheerleading opportunities for girls of all ages. Cheerleaders compete at 2 to 6 competitions during the season depending on their age and experience level. Evaluations for the 2010-11 season will be held in June 2010.
